<p>Hello, I'm Frost. (Ignore the warriors username, i made this account when I was like 12). Anyway, until now i have been posting my stories on a smaller story wiki, but I feel that I should maybe post them on a bigger website, kind of get a little more feedback. Anyway, in my opinion I wrote only one pasta on the wiki that is worth reading, and here is the link: http://ajstories.wikia.com/wiki/Summer_Home . I know I need to change up the title, and i'm working on it. Keep in mind it's not completely edited, but I believe it's pretty mistake-free.

</p><p>And, I'm planning on writing a story about a 15 year old girl in a mental asylum, and here is her desctiption: (I don't know why the text is like that, just ignore it.)

<p style="color:rgb(58,58,58);">Backstory: She was born at an orphanage that closed when she was 7. She and a few other kids formed a group to stay alive long enough to go make money. However, her best friend was killed by a snake, and therefore she developed another personality, her best friend's. She has learned to change it at will and can use it so (somewhat) of her advantage. It was at that point that she began to self-harm and became suicidal. It began to take over her life until she realized that she could use her blades and knives for good, or good in her mind. She first used it for food, and her little camp. But by the age of 12 she would use it to "discipline" her camp when it did her wrong or betrayed her. Because she had lost so much and so many, she started getting voices in her head less than a month later. She never really <i>saw </i>people, but the voices have nearly driven her to suicide. Now, she only hears them in silence, and cannot help but wonder who they belong to. She is one of the best people with throwing knives now, and can snap at any moment. At age 13, she was taken to a facility where they observe multiple personalities. However, Ariel refused to change and threatened to stab the examiners. Instead, they injected her with a tranquilizer. They 'accidentally' overdosed, and she woke up just before the riot began, and with some of her last sanity left-broke out of the chamber and joined the riot. She was then taken into the asylum, and that's when she was taken into the asylum.</p>

<p>I'm no expert on mental illness, but I do have some experience. It seems that Ariel has schizophrenia because she was so depressed, thus meaning that she has depression with psychotic features. The MPD is not called that anymore, but I don't remember what it is called. It may be called disassociation, or that might be what causes it.
</p><p>Asylums do not exist anymore (from what I've read and heard), instead there are mental hospitals, so if you are going to keep it as an asylum you might want to make it back when they existed and were completely awful. If you want Ariel to be tortured, then send her to an Asylum and look up the time period and do some research. But if you want her to wreak havoc, then make it contemporary. Contemporary can go two ways: the patients are treated like they are in a hospital with all the care they deserve; or they are fed medicine and treated like cattle (and if it's a place the patients are to live, then they are not helped and fed pills until they are transferred).
</p><p>This is the experience I have had with mental hospitals in my state, but if anybody has had any other experience you can decide among those as well.
</p><p>You might want to watch your sentences, some things repeat themselves and you leave out some words. Work on grammar and punctuation, which means you should read a lot and write as much as you can.
