So I remember hearing this creepy story a few times, but I don't know if it has a name. The story generally goes like this:

There's a boy who is told never to open the the cellar door. He is allowed to do many things and his parents aren't very strict, but he's never to open that door. One day, his curiosity gets the best of him and he opens the cellar door. For the first time in his life, he sees the outside.

That's the story in a nutshell (albeit a very concise version). I'm curious if anyone else has heard this story, if it's already on this site, or if it is just a regional story. I always thought it was fairly well-known. Does anybody recognize this?

I'm sorry if this is the wrong place for this discussion; I'm fairly new to the site.
