Yeah, but it still allows for bureaucrats to see how someone would handle that type of position. (As opposed to promoting someone who turns out to be a bad fit.) Why waste the time removing that title and promoting users who may/may not want the added responsibility of deletion appeal?
The reasons for keeping are so incredibly stupid.
"We can test their ability to be admin by giving them the same rights as an admin but give them a different name".
You add maybe 4 extra things when you go from VCROC to Admin.

Actually, I can. Pretty sure that not being able to view deleted pages and not having chat mod rights are what seperate me from the admins.
That, and a lot more responsibility will be on my shoulders. I don't feel ready for that now and when I do I'll be making an admin application. I'm also not so certain how easily rollbacks could transtition from that to admin as well- it's a HUGE step up and VCROC seems like a good middle ground between the two.
I wouldn't be comfortable with VCROC being able to do deletion appeals. IMO that should only be handled by people who have proven they know what is and isn't quality.
Otherwise I can't think of a reason for keeping it.

Well, that's weird. I don't remember myself deleting blog posts as a former VCROC, but I'll try again if I get the rights back.

Deletion and Spinoff appeal are a big deal, so this reason is enough to don't shut down VCROC applications.
You could simply ask certain admins to not do them...
Like, how hard would it be to say "Yo dawg, I don't think you should do deleteion appeals just yet since you just got your rights and all. Best break that shit in and then we can talk. Cool?"

You use the "Delete" button at the bottom of the page since you can't edit blogs that aren't your own. I only learned how to do that a while ago as well :?

In all honesty... I'd be pretty comfortable with doing deletion appeal. I've reviewed a lot of pastas in both the Workshop and on the main site and I do consider myself to be a good judge of quality. I can even remember asking if I could help with it back when I was just a rollback, I think. And lately I've noticed Travis seems to be the only one doing any work on it- not that there's anything wrong with that, it's just a lot of work and I really would be glad to help out if possible. As long as the author gives me a Pastebin link to their story or something.

I suppose that is a possibility.
