Ok.
You need to chill. This website is not about glory. It's about creating scary stories. If that's your intention, then just do it and relax.

It defeats the purpose if they're bad or make you not wanna read them. That is NOT my intention. And I don't want the glory either. But I DO want people to like my stories. No in fact, LOVE them
Then you shouldn't be writing. Move on and do something else if you can't handle criticism. It's so not a big deal and you're making a mountain out of a molehill. Lots of people hate my stories. I have had stories marked for review and outright deleted. Regardless, I have over a hundred here on the wiki. You don't get to control how people respond to your stories. You don't even get to crontrol IF they respond or not. Get over it and write if you want to write. If all you want is praise, then do something else. Donate to charity or something. This is honestly insane at this point.
What's wrong with wanting "praise"? (I'm just trying to create something purposely groundbreaking)
Ok first off, fuck that wiki page or whatever the fuck you guys keep mentioning here. If I never make it off the workshop I will be PERFECT with that. I'm not doing this for the "praise" Im doing this because I'm really trying to reinvigorate the genre
There's nothing wrong with wanting praise. What's wrong is kicking and screaming like a child when you don't get it. And give the "groundbreaking" crap a rest. You don't get to decide if what you're writing is groundbreaking or not. That's not within your power.
You're probably not going to write something even close to remarkable. Be okay with that. If you care about writing, just writing will be enough. Put your head in the right place or you're going to fail even worse.
Reality check: you're not a big deal. You're not even unique. None of us are. None of us can control how people recieve our work. We all have really good pastas and really, really bad pastas. It's how it goes. You're not going to knock it out of the park every time, or even most of the time.
And it takes days, weeks, and sometimes months of development to write a good pasta. The work changes and morphs and sharpens in that time. The point is to make each individual pasta the best it can be. And you know what? People STILL might not like it. Too bad. Keep going and do it again. Because that's what it's about. Just doing it.
You're not going to create the next "big pasta" on purpose, so stop trying. If any of us end up doing that, it will be completely be accident.
