I don't REALLY think that's an unpopular opinion.
I think the people who believe it's a good piece of writing/fiction/literature in any sense tend to be a VERY vocal minority.
If everyone out there who read it and found it non memorable and falling short of it's hype were to post about it in the forum's, it'd just be a "Why Jeff The Killer is mediocre" wiki.
