I write a rounded wordcount (to the nearest 10) in the description of all my stories on my profile (alongside the date, a brief blurb about it, and whether or not it's NSFW). Perhaps I actually give too much information, but at least it helps the discerning reader.

As I often read stories on my phone, during my commutes, having a rough idea of the size of the pasta is definitely helpful. Typically, I'll judge whether or not I have the time to read / finish the entirety of a pasta by the size of my scroll bar, haha.

I actually agree with this a lot, it'd keep engagement going, so that someone knows exactly how long a story is. I've started reading stories while I'm to and from places and realised they're just too long, and had I known that, I'd save them for later to be appreciated better.

It's a nice thought, but I don't think a designated word counter could realistically be implemented onto the wiki. Maybe if something extra funky was done with the coding, it could be possible, but I doubt it. It's important to remember that Fandom is not actually a literature site, so there are some features that other sites offer that can't reasonably be attained here.

I am also in the practice of putting my stories' word counts on my profile (though rounded to the nearest 100, not 10), and the scroll wheel is also my go-to method of judging a story's length. Just thought I'd point that out.
