I recently read no end house after kinda procrastinating for a bit. I might read the next few parts, but to be honest... It really wasn't that scary. It was kinda cool I guess, but it overall felt a little mid. I kinda wish they'd elaborate on Peter-- the junkie from the beginning of the story--a little more, because I feel having another character who experienced the house would make the story a little more interesting. Also, if Peter went into the House, why would he tell David about it? That makes no sense. And the whole thing with his parents dying, like why? Is that the House fucking with him? Why do we not even hear from his parents? Why does the cat hiss at him and run away? There's a lot of things to this story that I don't really understand. I hope that some of this stuff can get cleared up in the next few chapters.
I've noticed a lot of symbolism within this story too, which I found pretty cool. Obviously, the nine rooms resembling Dante's Inferno from the Divine Comedy, and the ninth room on David's clone representing Self H*rm, which seems a little like a stretch to me, but it seems plausible to me. I do think this symbolism makes the story seem all the more professional, but I feel like having the tenth door at the end of the story was kinda stupid. I don't really know why, I just think that the whole symbolism with hell and everything was going really well, and then they just kinda shat all over it.
Lemme know if I should read the next chapters.
