Considering this story is centred around a fictional version of PewDiePie's Tuber Simulator, it would have to go through our Spinoff Appeal before it could be uploaded to the site.

It's not supposed to be that though, just more or less based off of it. In-universe it has nothing to do with the original game asides from them both being youtuber simulators

I suppose upon closer inspection that this doesn't technically count as a spinoff but I don't believe it passes the site's quality standards. It's similar to many haunted/dark videogame stories we've received in the past; gratuitious, overeliant on exposition, and derives its tension from melodrama. I just don't think the way Chris turns his game into a suicide note is written in an interesting way - the presentation of the extreme violence and adult themes is generic. His relationship with Lisa is never really given any proper context outside of edgy emotional statements made to the reader, which quickly become tiresome to read. If I were to write this concept, I think a slower, more subtle approach would work better to give us a real sense of this character and the people around him, rather than rushing to the shock element.

I'd have to disagree. The point of what Chris shows within his game is to further emphasize not only how he's feeling, but what he himself wants to do to Lisa for what he has gone through.

If it was solely pulling tension from shock and nothing more, I believe the motivation would be less concise, like we'd get visuals of a random woman and random couple that we're supposed to assume Chris knows.

He even explicitly states why he left his parents to go with Lisa, and what happened to his psyche upon living with her, so I'm not sure what other bits of context he would give. We do know that his family is very strict and helicopter-like, and that his girlfriend abused him for her benefit and only her benefit, which is what's most important to take in, especially with this game being a cry for help.

I didn't like this story either, but I don't see its message as reasonless or lacking in context if we are supposed to have only a handful of the information.
