What if the paranormal elements turn out to be psychological in nature, and the hope comes from the fact that, with treatment, these disturbances can go away within the main character's mind?

Unfortunately, however, as the others mentioned, this type of story is no longer allowed on this wiki...however there is one entriely based on the Pokemon lore and characters.

Hey, I think you just posted your story...I tried to comment.

Unfortunately, the story didn't quite meet the quality guidelines for the website, my friend. However, I can tell you're a new writer...don't give up! Keep writing! Maybe tell us (the reader) about where this monster in the closet came from, or how it managed to cut off your sister's...limbs.

Keep in mind, too, that a story doesn't have to be gory to be scary...

You sure can! There's a whole page devoted to how to do it...but in short, click the three dots in the rightmost corner and you can add your story...just be mindful of the formatting and the rules of the wiki in terms of quality and such.

Good luck with your writing! I feel as if the best descriptions come to you naturally…like Te said, if it helps the reader visualize what’s happening (saying someone hissed like a snake gets across they’re lying and nasty) it can paint a better picture.

I’ve also found it helpful to only give descriptions of things that are truly important — we don’t need to know the color of everyone’s socks, but maybe we need to know that a main character has a gun in his back pocket. However, as Hitchcock famously said: “if you show me a gun in act one, it better come around in the third.”

Thanks Te! It’s nice to be back…I never technically “left”, but definitely was less active…these new stories I’m working on are taking their sweet ol’ time. I hope your Valentines story can come to fruition!
