My personal punctuation pet peeve when reading stories on this wiki specifically is when normal punctuation/quotation marks are converted into "richtext" punctuation/quotation marks by Word or similiar richtext editors. Like when a normal apostrophe (') is turned into a right-direction apostrophe (’). It just looks like shit on MediaWiki sites.
I don't mind semicolons but I agree that em dashes are superior.
Making sequels to your own stories is perfectly fine as far as I know.
Yeah. Lol.
Not even the best SiliconLemming story smh 2017 cornconic
I've never used Grammarly so I'm not sure exactly how it differs from basic spellcheck applications, but the rules specifically ban the use of generative AI, aka programs that spit out paragraphs of faux-coherent word salad from a database of mostly stolen material. If you're just using something that checks for improper grammar, word usage, etc in a story you otherwise wrote yourself you should probably be fine.
Edit: This reply now useless since Cornconic beat me by a minute lmao
Haven't read it myself, but I do remember enjoying some other works of his like On a Hill and The Passenger, even if they weren't the most memorable stories in the world.
In the past that story's mere presence on the wiki attracted huge hordes of 12-year-old roleplayers, trolls, and all sorts of other annoying people on a fairly regular basis. So I'm gonna say no.
Kinda wish I'd actually bothered to read that pasta back in the day. "I’m pretty sure the director, Peter Lauer, has the original copy. It’s probably on his mantle next to his snuff films, that creepy ass fuck" is definitely not an okay thing to say in your story. Wtf.
The protagonist being such an incel makes it kinda funny, at least.
Yeah, my least favorite's still probably Blood Whistle. It's one of the few pastas that's genuinely too agonizingly boring for me to read all the way through.
I imagine that there are dozens, if not hundreds or even thousands of fanfics that fit that description.
I just wish creepypasta.com's current layout was less fucking horrible to look at. That way I wouldn't have to pull up the Wayback Machine every time I want to reread it.
That's why I feel like I'm missing some context here. I really can't see why Owl would specifically single out Dymerski's stories based on what information I do have.
Speaking of Psychosis being removed, I recently came across an interesting thread someone posted a while back on the legacy forum. While I haven't verified any of the information therein, if OP is being truthful (and I see little reason to doubt they are), it seems like nobody even attempted to contact Matt Dymerski at any point to ask if he was fine with the pasta being on here... And based on his tone, it seems like he'd have probably been chill with it...? I dunno, I'm likely missing some important bits of context, but I can't help but find the decision a bit baffling in light of that. (Though I will admit I'm biased, lol.)
Psychosis is probably my favorite creepypasta, period. Only one I think I've reread more is On the Bus.
From the Mental Illness category, Tulpa also comes immediately to mind, though I dunno if I'd call it "accurate" to anything, lol.
(Bonus answer: Cackling.)
Yeah we haven't accepted content even remotely related to Jeff the Killer in a loooong time. And like William See said, your post doesn't even look like a proper story, so it would've been deleted either way.
That's mostly why I'm suspecting it's been deleted at this point. Drawn out rape/SA scenes were (and still are) against the Wikia/FANDOM ToU, but that wasn't as heavily enforced in this wiki's early days.
It's probably long gone in that case lol
