This is a document of Dr. Jonathan Worrigan's logs of the final experiment held in the Worrigan Facility. While some logs were able to be recovered, others were too corrupt.

Experiment 1049: Mindwipe

Doctor in Charge: Dr. Jonathan Worrigan

Subject Name: CLASSIFIED

Abstract

Experiment 1049 is a psychologically-based experiment in which a human patient is placed inside a closed-off room and exposed to chemical T-1459867493 for four hours a day. The subject will receive books, a television screen, and a video game system in order to spike their brain activity. The chemical is supposed to cause memory loss in the exposed patient. We hope to gain a new memetic agent from this experiment.

Day 1

0.2 mol used

Patient has been led into the room. The subject’s brain waves are average, and show no signs of change. The same can be said for the subject’s vitals. After being brought out of the room, the subject said he didn’t feel anything except forgetting to tie his shoe for a quick second. Due to a lack of response from the subject, the dosage will be increased.

Day 2

0.4 mol used

Subject was led into the chamber. Vital signs are stable. No sign of change. Brain waves are stable. No sign of change. The subject, however, did seem to blank a few times. After being let out of the chamber, the subject claimed to have felt as if “time just flew by this time.” The dosage will need to be raised once more.

Day 5

1.1 mol used

Subject was led into the chamber. Vital signs are stable. No sign of change. Brain waves are acting unusually. Signs of change are evident. The subject spent most of the time sitting in a corner of the chamber, doing nothing except twiddling his thumbs. After being let out of the chamber, the subject claimed to have no recollection of ever being let in. Experiment success. However, further testing is required to be able to affect memory long term. The dosage increase will be increased.

Day 10

9.1 mol used

Subject was forced into the chamber. Vital signs are uneasy. Slight sign of change. Brain waves show a lot of activity. Change is clearly there. The subject was hiding under a bed that was provided in the room for most of the time. He kept crying out repeatedly, “STOP! JUST STOP!!!” Subject was detained after an attempt to escape the chamber. When questioned later, the subject simply cocked his head and asked, “What are you talking about? Aren’t we just starting this experiment?” The higher-ups request that the experiment continue on, despite the facility's requests to end it here.

Day 11

10 mol used

Subject was led into the chamber. Vital signs are mostly stable. Change is possible, but unlikely. Brain waves are stable. No sign of change. However, there does seem to be a slight error with some of the computers in the facility. The subject spent most of his time throwing a ball across the room. When led out of the chamber, the subject said that he felt fine. The sudden change in behavior is unexpected, but the higher-ups say to increase the dosage.

Day 35

98 mol used

Subject was led into the chamber. Vital signs: error. No signs of change. Brain waves: error. No sign of change. The subject is hiding from the screens. He says that there’s a monster in there, but none of our experts see any monster on the screen. It must be an effect of the chemical itself. The subject appeared to be in a constant state of terror throughout the entire time. After being let out, the subject dashed out of the chamber, and then stops. When questioned about the ‘monster’ he saw, he replies with, “What monster?” The higher-ups have not messaged the facility in weeks, so the dosage will be increased.

Day 52

200 mol used

The subject was led into the chamber. Vital signs: efficient with elevated heart rate. Brain waves: sporadic. The subject showed a great deal of stress and refused to look away from the screens. After the subject was let out, he dashed out of the room, and then stopped halfway down the hallway with a blank stare. When asked if he wished to back out and head back to his family, the subject asked, “What family? I don’t have a family.”

Day 67

400 mol used

The subject was led into the chamber. Vital signs: drastic heartrate increase, indicative of onset cardiac arrest. Brain waves: off the charts. Cannot be recorded. The subject screamed an ear-piercing shriek for the entire time. It appeared as though a hand was coming out of the screen. The facility took a day long break after today.

Day 99

540 mol used

I don’t have much time. I’m using the doctor’s log. For anyone reading this, my name is Matthew Masterson. Or, at least, I think it is. It’s so goddamn hard to remember! Anyways, don’t trust the screens. Turn off every screen in your house! Even one screen is enough to let it in! Don’t let it in. Don’t let it in! He’s in my every thought now, he’s invading every part of my mind...why am I even trying to run again? It’s...getting so hard to remember...so hard...so hard...so...hard…

Vital signs: unknown. Brain waves: 99999999 Hz

End of Log

The police reported that the Worrigan Facility collapsed on July 5th, 2005. The cause of the facility’s failure is unknown to this day. However, a bunch of bright rocks were found in the wreckage. They have been deemed safe for the population and are being sold by the masses to the public. Tune back in for the police report of the unusual mass murder in New York City's Times Square! I know I'll be watching! This is reporter Jared Gardner, signing off.
