I stared as the creatures crawled of the hole as the moans and groans continued. I turned around and sprinted through the forest, dodging debris from the trees and corpses scattered along the forest. I started to wheeze and I was running out of breath, but I ignored this and I continued sprinting, fearing for my life. I couldn't get the sight of the creatures slowly crawling out of the hole out of my head, I noticed how fast they were at climbing up the abyss. My legs started to get weak, and my heart started to hurt, I had to stop to avoid a heart attack or a stroke. I looked behind my to see what was going on, I looked up into the skies in terror, to see these creatures fly into the sky. In complete horror, I started to sprint once again, I could hear planes souring through the sky to then crash to the ground shortly as the screeches of the creatures follow.

I managed to find the frontlines, I waved my arms calling for help. The Soldiers noticed me and started shouting back, pointing at me as they sent a squad to come and help. A smile came across my face, I started to run to the squad ignoring the bodies scattered across the ground, I needed to inform others about the creatures, about the abyss, I needed to inform the world about this phenomena before it's too late.
"HELP! HELP!" I shouted to the squad of Soldiers, waving my arms like a maniac.
When we finally met up the Soldiers halted me, I could tell that they were German from the uniforms.
"What happened?" asked one of the Soldiers.
"I'll explain later, we need to get to safety." I said, barely managing to speak due to me breathing hard and fast.
The Soldiers understood and escorted me to the frontlines, dodging flying bullets and explosions. We heard the engine of planes sour through the sky, getting closer. We looked up to find the Luftwaffe opening up their hatches to unleash a bomb onto the enemy but are shot down by anti-aircraft, except for one of the planes managed to survive, and unleash the bomb causing an explosion onto the enemy trenches. The plane tried to escape the battlefield but suddenly started to spin out of control, bullets from the plane were released out of no where, shooting into the sky. The plane finally headed toward the ground, and crashed into the middle of the forest. The squad looked up in confusion, but I knew exactly what was going on.
"RUN!" I screamed, and rushed the squad to the trenches even faster.
We heard screeches coming from the forest, then the sky, then from the ground. Creatures flew in the sky, and then landed in the trenches of both sides. Screams of the soldiers could be heard, following gun shots from Machine guns, rifles, and explosions. Creatures started charging from the forest and jumped into the trenches. Creatures jumped from the dirt, and pulled Soldiers into the ground. The squad stopped, and aimed their weapons at the creatures in the forest, and opened fire.
"NO! DON'T!" I shouted.
The gunshots caught the creatures attention, and 3 of the creatures started to charge at us. Allied planes flew through the sky and shot down a few of the flying creatures but were out numbered and crashed into the ground, causing more explosions killing more of the Soldiers on both sides. Tanks tried to come into the scene and fire at the creatures but were also overrun, the creatures violently ripped into the armor of the tanks. I took out my MP-40 and fired at the creatures alongside the squad, but the bullets weren't enough and the squad was crushed by the creatures. I ran away once again avoiding debris from planes, tanks, and corpses.
The wind started to get violent, and felt like a tornado was about to hit. Snow started to fall from the sky, the snow turned into hail, the hail and the violent winds prevented planes from going into the sky, and the hail started to kill people who didn't take cover in the area. Luckily my helmet gave me cover and gave me time to find cover in the remains of a house in a nearby village.

I had managed to hide in a village for weeks, surviving on remaining rations I had in my supply bag, and rats that snuck into the house. The village was abandoned, I felt lonely, helpless, I felt like I was going to die, the only thing I could think of was, Am I going to die?
A news paper flew through the door-less archway, I picked up the paper and sat down on the dirty floor to read it.
PARIS NEWS REPORT: "DEMONS FROM HELL" CAUSING A MASS PANIC ACROSS THE GLOBE! THESE "DEMONS" HAVE REACHED PARIS AND HAVE REACHED THE EASTERN FRONT, REPORTS SAY THAT ADOLF HITLER HAS KILLED HIMSELF IN FEAR OF THESE DEMONS. MAY GOD HELP US ALL... JANUARY 26TH, 1945.
I sat there, trying to keep myself together. It was too late, I could've warned the world, I could've stopped this but I just hid here in this STUPID abandoned village like a coward. I threw the paper to the ground, got up and punched the wall making a dent, but I saw something in the paper that I didn't realize, I picked the paper back up and continued to read.
REPORTS FROM THE EASTERN FRONT SAY THEY HAVE BEEN ABLE TO PUSH BACK THE CREATURES, AND HAVE FOUND OUT THAT THESE CREATURES CAN BE KILLED WITH EXPLOSIONS AND BULLETS. NOW THAT WE KNOW THE WEAKNESS OF THE DEMONS WE MAY BE ABLE TO PUSH THEM BACK. JANUARY 29TH, 1945.
I looked at the paper, I felt a sweep of hope cross me. I got up and grabbed my equipment to put it on, I picked up my MP-40 and took my first step in weeks outside, and ran to battle.
This is a sequel to my original story, "Kreaturen". I'm aware that this might not be as good as the original, so tell me how I can improve. Yes this is a little inspired by doom.
