My Advice on How to Start a Story
Keep it Interesting
You’re sitting at your computer wondering what the first sentence of your new story is going to be. My advice? It should be action oriented – one of your characters should be doing something, or something should be happening to them. And most important, whatever that action is, it should be interesting. Why? Because it’s the only point in your story where you’re 100% guaranteed to have the reader’s attention. If you start off with something like a dull description, the reader’s attention immediately starts to wane – it’s only natural. Your first paragraph, and especially your first sentence, is the prime real estate of your story, so don’t build a shack there, build a mansion.
Let’s look at a few fantastic opening lines:

A little BTS info about All-Consuming Darkness
So, All-Consuming Darkness is the story I’m most proud of. It’s what I recommend my friends read if they wanna read my stories. But something that always gets brought up among my friends is, “why do they argue about alcohol?” (The answer I give is “finish and you’ll understand”)
In truth, it wasn’t always that way.
Originally, it was an argument about whether Princess Peach’s name is Peach or Toadstool. I thought it painted this group as a fair bit younger, maybe college age people, as opposed to the late twenties men that were the released version.
It’s all thanks to the content blacklist that the story released the way it did, and all the better for it.

It’s insane to think about all the cool stuff to come from this site in the last decade and a half. And now, somehow, we’ve reached 13,000 stories!
This is amazing, and I’m proud of everyone who has contributed to this site over the years.

Hello
I'm Guro. I would like to begin my blogs with an introduction. I'm a teenager, who hates school, and likes creepy and disturbing stuff. Stereotypical outsider loner type, like grindcore, black metal, death metal, and deathcore. Im just cool like that lol. Have a good day!
Finally going to do the ritual
So, I mentioned in the Creepypasta wiki that I was preparing for a ritual. I was going to keep them updated, but I decided to update the blog instead. I'm preparing it all right now, and am about to do it. I'll keep whoever is reading this updated.
First blog post
So, I'm probably not going to post to my blog very much, since I'm only trying to post interesting things from my life, but it's usually pretty mundane. My severely Autistic little brother got to have a prom for kids like him yesterday, and I'm proud of him for going, since he doesn't do well with loud music or large crowds. He took pictures with a fancy car he liked, with his crown that he got, and even with a girl his aged that wanted to dance with him. I got to go with him, and I'm glad that I did, because I haven't always been such a good older brother to him, but he recognizes that I'm trying to be better, and I'm glad he does.
2023 Random Title Writing Contest
Hello once more to all you ghouls and goblins. It’s time for what has become an at least annual tradition here on the wiki: a contest! 2022 featured both liminal spaces and a wheel of misfortune, but this year, we’re asking one simple question…
What’s in a title?
A lot, some people might tell you. And those people would be right. The best titles not only pique a potential reader’s interest, but also have a meaningful connection with the story itself. Luckily, you won’t have to worry about coming up with a title this year, because we’re going to be giving them to you.

Crafting an entire narrative from a meagre chain of words can be challenging, so for this contest, we’re focused on two additional concepts: freedom a…

I'm unsure if I have to use a specific code along with URL link or maybe the instructions have remained the same, but the site visuals has changed so it's no longer familiar. Link is down below.
