"He still hasn't been caught yet?"
She didn't answer, but I could tell there was something wrong. She looked back at me and answered, "That was a block away from us..."
"Don't worry they have all been random. From different distances and times. It doesn't seem likely that it could happen to us in particular does it?" She still had worry in her eyes but I could tell she knew I was right. It was 7:47 P.M. and the sun was beginning to set when we heard a slow creak from the entrance of our apartment. Grace rushed to her room without even wondering who it was. I slowly walked back to the door to see what was there. NOTHING.
The door was just open without any other signs that anyone was there. Like I have seen in most horror movies I looked above and around me before I shut the door and locked it. Grace must have heard me because she looked out of her room and looked at me. "No one?""No one...I may not have completely shut it. The wind must've blown it open," I said easily calming her down.
She let out a sigh of relief and teased," Well better hope a monster didn't sneak in."
I was woken up by my alarm and I could feel Grace laying next to me. She insisted on sleeping with me last night because she was terrified IT would pay a visit over the night. I hit the snooze button on it and turned to Grace. I started shaking her and telling her to wake up. I finally started to realize something. There was blood soaked into the blanket on top of her. As I jumped out of bed I slowly walked to the other side hoping not to see what I have in the other murder cases. No use trying to hope because I already knew. Her face was worse than most of the others. It was covered in stitches that covered her face.
