Hey, it's Corn. After weeks and weeks of arduous thought, I've decided to take it upon myself to undergo the ghastly, humiliating, frankly unbearable challenge of becoming a discussions moderator (oh yeah, and something called a "rollback", too, whatever that is). With years of mental and physical preparation under my belt, I pledge to you, dear patrons of the wiki, to do my utmost best...
Reasoning[]
Jokes aside, I'm applying as a discussions mod with the intention of shouldering some of the workload put on the back of our newest appointed staff member, Tewahway. With the blatant popularity of the discussions pages comes their frequent misuse, as any visiting user will surely be aware. A record low number of staff means the threads are rife with instances of spam, drama, roleplaying, and other generally low-quality content. Though Te has been more than satisfactory in fulfilling the role himself, it seems necessary to me that the responsibility of righting these wrongs should fall upon more than a single person. With that being said, I have wider aspirations for the site at large that I believe would additionally suit a rollback status. Namely, obtaining rollback would heighten my ability to make corrective, restorative edits as well as open up the path to learning more about the site's functions.
Experience[]
If you're still not quite convinced, here's a look at my qualifications:
- I have been a site member for over 4 years. While I can't say I was active all throughout this time, I have spent a comparatively shorter period lurking/absent and am easily over the requirement for 2 months worth of experience.
- I have over 2000 edits on the main site. A good portion of these include leaving feedback, fixing grammatical issues, and marking stories for review, three things I plan to do more of in the future.
- I am familiar with the functions of the site on both desktop and mobile, as well as the discussions rules. I believe in being direct and straightforward with offending users while guiding them towards making more helpful contributions.
- I am effective at engaging writers and interacting with the community as whole.
Conclusion[]
So yeah, that's that. I'd like to leave you with this: I have a strong belief that beneath the wiki's awkward, somewhat cringeworthy exterior lies a dedicated group of talented writers that I'd like to give back to in any way possible. This is merely the beginning. Thank you for your time.

Support - Its been a chaotic year or so, and with the staff dropping like flies recently it would be beneficial to get regulars helping out whenever they can. Rollbacking in general is enough to keep tabs on problematic behavior until an admin can step in, so I’m putting my cents in that you’ll do your best to make sure we keep the site tidy in the coming months.

Support - Yeah, this one's pretty straightforward. I enjoy your blunt but fair dealings with users as it's clear and concise, with an added bonus of also helping said users to learn how to contribute in more productive ways. You've got more than enough experience to handle being a rollbacker easily.

Support - No issues here. We need more staff who can be clear and fair.

Support - Finally, we'll have a 3rd rollbacker for the ritual to create a new and improved Empy! Ahem...
Anyways, getting down to business: You have far exceeded most (if not all) of the on-paper requirements for this role. You've always established yourself as a committed member of the community, from my experience (even during the dark days of the juiced laptop). I may come across as partially biased, as you were the first user to ever reach out to me when I was new here (besides Empy slapping me with a warning). But my support is not shaped in any way by subjective feelings.
Your reading / writing skills, commitment to the wiki, willingness to provide impartial feedback, and blunt honesty are all traits that lend you to being an excellent fit for this role. This is an easy support from me. Provided you keep your laptop in a bubble, that is... or your cousin...
Te-wuh... Te-whaa... Teee-what... Ugh. Just Te. (talk) 01:29, 31 March 2022 (UTC)

Support - Give this man a raise...oh, we can't do that? Ight, at least let him admin...(rootin' for ya, Corn)
Support - From the beginning you helped me to become a better writer in an incredibly blunt but kind way. How could I not support you for the times you supported me (which wasn't a lot because I just got here but you get the message I'm trying to say)?
