If your story was deleted, do not reupload it to the wiki yourself. It was deleted for a reason, and it will likely be re-deleted for the same reason if reposted. You will warned, then banned for attempting to reupload stories as articles without appeal.

Why was my story deleted?

If you're unsure as to why your story was deleted, you can try checking the specific deletion log entry for that page, or reading the rules more thoroughly. Usually, if a page is deleted, it's for one of the following reasons:

If you still can't figure out why your page was deleted, you can try reading the Deletion FAQ, or contacting the admin who deleted it.

Appealing deletions

If your page was deleted for quality reasons, you can try to make a case for it on our Deletion Appeal page. The odds of it being accepted this way are very slim, though.

You also have the option of revising your story and submitting the revised version through deletion appeal (providing an offsite link so admins can review it). The odds of it being accepted are much higher if you make actual improvements to the story, so this is usually the way to go when appealing deletions.

Further options

Even though you aren't allowed to directly repost deleted content to the wiki itself (i.e. the article namespace), you can ask for feedback on your story on the Writers' Workshop forum. Just be sure to read the forum rules before posting there.

Disclaimer

In the event you post via any means a story, page, or blog post about a subject matter that is determined, at an admin's discretion, to be 1) in a highly clichéd genre/category/subject and 2) poorly written, clichéd, generic, or of generally poor quality, then the admins are free at their discretion to delete the page at any time without warning.
