COMING SOON!

If you choose to create a page devoid of content other than a notice of COMING SOON or IN PROGRESS, you will be banned for at least three days as your page will be considered a spam page and subject to the rules pertaining to them.

Setup Only

While stories with cliffhangers are welcome, articles that are clearly written only as a setup to future installments of an ongoing story will be deleted as unfinished (see the section below concerning series.)

Penalties

  • First offense: Your page will be deleted and you will be let off with a warning.
  • Second offense: Your page will be deleted and you will be blocked for a day. This block will double for each infraction thereafter.

Concerning Multi-Part Stories

This wiki does allow for stories to be posted in multiple parts/installments. However, there are a few things to keep in mind when breaking a story into multiple articles. First, the individual installments must be long enough to justify hosting across multiple pages. If your story has short sections or chapters, they should all be on a single page. Second, each installment should have its own self-contained narrative and story arc, even if it relies on the other pages to be fully understood. Third, your series overall should have a finished narrative arc to tie it together in order to qualify as a complete story.

While cliffhangers are allowed, do not follow the r/nosleep tradition of uploading a single story fragment at a time, especially if it's for a story arc that you may or may not ever get around to finishing. Doing so will be treated the same as uploading a single unfinished page. You may decide to add sequels to your own work later, but everything you upload should be treated as a finished product and not a work in progress.

Self-contained stories set in the same universe in a loose sequential continuity are also welcome and will not have the same burdens as traditional multi-part stories, but all stories must still be complete and meet the wiki's general quality standards.

Disclaimer

In the event you post via any means a story, page, or blog post about a subject matter that is determined, at an admin's discretion, to be 1) in a highly clichéd genre/category/subject and 2) poorly written, clichéd, generic, or of generally poor quality, then the admins are free at their discretion to delete the page at any time without warning.
