I'm not human.

If there's one thing I've learned about humans, it's that they tend to fear what they don't understand. If they're not afraid, they rationalize their fear. The last thing they want to think about is the possibility that they're no longer in control.

I know a bit more about humans than most.

Call me what you will, a monster, an alien, a demon, but what I am is something new, something that cannot be killed. That's where Dr. Matthew Murray comes in. He was a brilliant man.  Intelligent. An inventor, a man of science. He understood the potential of the human body better than anyone else. But that potential is limited. He tried so hard to perfect the human. He gave his life to his invention, that wonderful device of his, that made people more human, less animal. But it was useless against me. It failed.

Remember when I said I wasn't human? Well, it's true. I'm not, I'm not human. I'm a being of a different order, and I'm going to make sure that no one else will ever have to deal with the monsters that lurk on the other side of the door.

I'm going to take your fear and put it to good use.

And as long as there are humans who dare to leave the safety of their cages, and as long as there are people like Dr. Murray, who understand the possibilities of what makes them human, I will keep on existing. Because if there's one thing I know for sure, it's that nothing can kill a Dream Walker.
