September 12, 1945 Field Report #1 Experiment #102
4:09 p.m. Dr. Kriegsten has asked us to start doing field reports on the test subjects during experimentation. This is the 102nd experiment, but this is the first field report.
Anyways, moving on.
Test subject number 165-3B was injected with a new serum called Serum 115. It was created by a few chemists from the Der Riese facility. They claim it is a new antidote for infections and "Gang Green" that soldiers get from wounds in battle. This is the first time we are trying this on a test subject.
4:21 p.m. Experiment number 102 was a success and a failure. The subject's wound were cured of its infections, but they soon returned and spread throughout the body, also affecting the brain. The subject began to growl and tried to break free from his restraints. He even attempted to bite the soldiers who held him down. The only way to stop him was to put a bullet through his brain. We have gotten into contact with the chemists to see if they can fix the serum.

We had another failed experiment today. Test subject number 165-3B was injected with Serum 115 and soon began displaying strange side effects. His wounds did heal, but not for very long. They came back within seconds, spreading up and down his body. It also appeared that his ability to speak was lost. It seemed he reverted back to his primal instincts. It took six or seven guards to hold him down. He even attempted to bite one. At that point, I pulled out the Luger out of my desk and shot him several times, but there was no effect. One of the guards suggested shooting him in the head. I had one bullet left, and it was the only place I hadn't shot him yet. I pointed it at his forehead and pulled the trigger. He died from the wound instantly. I asked two of the guards to dispose of the corpse. I then told Dr. Meschki to put it down as both a a success and a failure for Dr. Maxis when he reads the reports in the future. I have a feeling I will not sleep well tonight.
September 16, 1945 Field Report #5 Experiment #107
9:15 a.m. We have received our new test samples of the Serum 115. They claimed they have changed it, buy we won't know until we test it, which is what we are in the process of doing. Will finish field report after experiment.
10:01 a.m. Experiment number 107 was a complete success. Test subject number 46-2C's wounds were completely healed within ten minutes. We did small blood and tissue samples to be sure. The tests came back with fantastic results. There was no sign of infection anywhere on the body. Just to be safe, though, we will be observing number 46-2C's progress throughout the day.
8:47 p.m. Experiment number 107 has turned into another failure. At around 8:00 p.m., the test subject had began feeling ill and started turning pale. At around 8:15 p.m., he began exhibiting the same side effects as the previous subject, but this was far worse. The subject started decaying before our eyes. Hair fell from his head, his skin turned a green-gray, and pieces of his flesh started rotting away within minutes. Once again, the only way to stop him from killing anybody was to shoot him in the head. We don't know if the other test samples of the serum are the same as the one we used, but to be safe, we have disposed of them. We will be requesting more soon.

We received the new batches of the serum. We began testing immediately. Dr. Meschki injected the test subject with one of the new samples. We noticed that his wounds started healing remarkably fast. We didn't know how long it would last, so we had one other scientist and a guard observe him throughout the day. Unfortunately, at around 8 p.m., the effects of the serum wore off and he began behaving the same way as the test subject from before. We have disposed of the other samples and requested new ones. Again, we should have them within the next week.
September 24, 1945 Field Report #13 Experiment #115A
11:17 a.m. We have received our newest test samples of Serum 115. They are much higher doses and are a different color, as well. Perhaps they put something in them that made them a red-black. We will begin testing within the hour.
12:18 p.m. The test was an absolute success. Test subject number 39-13Z's wounds were healed within seconds. We plan to observe him for the remainder of the day. Will finish field report at 20:00.
8:00 p.m. We observed test subject number 39-13Z for the entire day. Dr Maxis had sent over one of the chemists working on the serum to observe the test subject as well. The test subject exhibited no signs of the effects of the serum wearing off. It appeared as though he was in perfect health. We will be doing further tests, labeling them as Experiments 115 B-F.
End of Report.

Sept. 24, 1945
We had one of the most successful experiments in a long time today. Test subject number 39-13Z was a very lucky soldier indeed. Within seconds of injecting him with the serum, his wounds were completely healed. There wasn't even a scar, which was very impressive. The only thing that I noticed was different, besides the effects, was the color of this new batch of Serum 115. I was either a very dark red or a mix of red and black. I don't know why, but to me, it looked like blood.
Putting that aside, Dr. Meschki and I both agreed it would be a good idea to observe him throughout the day.
Another thing that seemed odd was the chemist. He was from the Der Riese facility, sent by Dr. Maxis personally. He wore a Captain's uniform, but he had the equipment of a chemist. For some reason, when we asked for his name, all he told us was "That's classified." When we asked why, he responded with "Those are Dr. Maxis's orders." We eventually left him alone.
Evening came very quickly. The test subject did not show any signs of change for the entire day, which was fantastic. We will continue with this experiment tomorrow with more tests. I hope the rest of them turn out this way.
Journal of Dr. Kriegsten Entry #56
My name is Dr. John Kriegsten. Whoever comes here and finds this, do exactly as I say. LEAVE. I don't care if you are stationed here or not, JUST LEAVE. This place is no longer safe. All of the test subjects have turned into mindless creatures who only crave your flesh.
It all started with the test subjects of Experiment 115A-F. They were all fine for the remainder of the day, but at around 10:00 p.m., they died mysteriously in their sleep. We called a few guards to dispose of the bodies. They didn't even make it to the incinerator before the corpses re-animated. The guards had no time to react, either. The creatures bit the guards. The guards managed to get away, except one. He was swarmed by them in seconds. They started feasting on his flesh, peeling it away from his bones. He was still alive as they were doing it as well. His screams were that of which you only hear about in scary stories. Then, one picked up a brick that was a few feet away and smashed his head open. He died instantly. After that, they... they started to eat away at his brain. It was one of the most horrific scenes I'd seen in a long time. We managed to get to the other side of the facility. We tried to help the guards as much as we could, but to no avail. Within an hour, they turned into those beasts. We had to kill them... it was our only option. We picked up the rifles they dropped, and began firing away.
We have to escape. The barge is the only way out of this place. If we don't make it, may god have mercy on our souls for what we've done here.
