Don't Be As Stupid As Me[]

Humans are severely stupid.

Anyone can tell you that.

And I’m living, breathing, walking proof of that very statement.

It had to have been hundreds of millenniums ago. I was a dumb teenager and technically still am. There was an offering put up by some sort of miracle worker. Claimed to be a genie of sorts. Genie my ass.

“Sign this contract,” they said. “Become immortal!”

I told them I’d do it if my dog, Judge, could also become immortal. And they agreed. I thought it was a joke. Becoming immortal. I’m pushing 3 Million and so is Judge. We done forgot our exact ages but it’s somewhere in the 2999900’s). Old.

For the past millions and millions of years, Judge and I have lived alone in what was once Switzerland. And for the past millions and millions of years, I’ve been the only human on Earth. Some sort of mass extinction (what it was that caused it escapes me, however, I’m sure it’s in one of my diaries).

We’ve seen how the world has changed. Wars, diseases, etc. But there was a peaceful period for at least 5,000 years.

The world today has flourished and is covered in vast greenery. You could tell something was here before but they are gone.

But not for long.

I’ve noticed something. About the avians and primates of the world. They’ve become smarter. I’ve noticed things resembling houses being built and different types of governments. Some sort of financial trade as well. I don’t often leave “my” land but when I do? I sneak around so as to not disturb these communities.

They don’t know I exist. And I’m sure if they were to find out it would be akin to Planet of The Apes or that Dawn of Man movie that came out in 3450 (both movies that made me piss myself).

We’re not keen on getting attacked or enslaved. But maybe one day I’ll let myself be known to them.
