John's Paper Puppet (unreviewed)[]
Ever since we met at school, John has always been on his spiritual side. He often meditates while being alone in his house. But still, he often hangs out with me and our friends. Until two months ago, his girlfriend dumped him. He takes it hard. He was unable to focus on his job and got fired. His life started to go downhill after that. We stopped hanging out shortly after.
Until one day, he gave me a call. He asked me to come to his house to help him with something. When I arrived at his house, he welcomed me and made me sit on a chair. He told me to wait for a minute and left the room. While waiting, I saw dolls, puppets, and action figures on one of his shelves. It confused me since before this, he never had an interest in puppetry, but what is even weirder is that some of them aren’t in good condition; they look like they have been left outside for some time. I also saw some books about spirits, souls, astral projection, and so on.
I waited for a bit until he came back. I realized that his condition was better since the last time I saw him. When I asked him did he got a new job, he said no. He said that he has been working on a “project”. I asked him about it but he said he’d tell me after it finished. The only thing he told me was that he was planning on “something”. He showed me a small paper puppet and told me to put it into an envelope and mail it to his former boss Mr. Park. He also told me to do it while he meditates. I agreed and waited in another room until he started meditating. I then put the paper puppet into an envelope. I could’ve sworn that I saw it moving. After I mailed it, I walked home.
Two days later, I came to John’s house, only to see his lifeless body on the floor. His body was chopped down to pieces. After the police arrived, they asked me a few questions. A few moments later, they said that they had no clue who killed John. I went home afterward. Then, I called my acquaintance Elisabeth who is Mr. Park’s secretary. I asked her what did Mr. Park do to the mail containing the paper puppet. She said that he did not bother to open it and threw it into a paper shredder.

The plot is too nonsensical and vague to really qualify as a complete story for this wiki, and this draft has several compositional issues, especially tense-hopping.
