You're walking down a dimly lit alleyway, the sound of your footsteps echoing against the brick walls. The air is chilly and the only light comes from a flickering streetlamp at the end of the alley. You can't help but feel a sense of unease as you continue on your way. Suddenly, you hear a rustling behind you. You quickly turn around, but there's nothing there. You tell yourself it's just your imagination and keep walking.

But the rustling continues, growing louder with each step you take. You start to run, your heart pounding in your chest. As you reach the end of the alley, you see it - a figure standing in the darkness, watching you. It's tall and thin, with long, spindly arms and fingers. Its eyes gleam in the darkness, and its mouth opens in a silent scream.

You freeze in terror, unable to move or look away. The figure starts to move towards you, its movements slow and jerky. You can feel its cold breath on your face as it reaches out to grab you.

Just as it's about to touch you, you wake up, drenched in sweat, realizing it was just a nightmare. But as you lay there, trying to calm your racing heart, you can't shake off the feeling that the figure is still watching you, waiting for the next time it will appear in your dreams.

Remember, it's just a nightmare. Go back to sleep.
