Some of you may have heard of the Freepasta Wiki I started not too long ago. This project evolved from the joke about a "Spinpasta 2," where pastas blacklisted on both CPW and SPW could go, and since grew into something much broader and hopefully more useful. Freepasta is functionally a CPW without blacklists or quality standards. This means that a pasta will never be deleted for quality reasons, and users may post any pasta they like (with obvious exceptions like plagiarism) and get feedback, share links, and post topics that might be blacklisted everywhere else.
PROS: This wiki was started namely because I find the idea of any topic being blacklisted across the entirety of the CPW Network to be silly; if something is banned on CP, it goes to SP, and if it's banned on SP... well, people complain, to say the least. Ideally, this wiki would both satisfy users who feel that the quality standards on other wikis are too strict and just want to post their stories, and it would satisfy staff who would be free to blacklist problem topics (I remember Sonic.exe on Spinpasta) without as much fuss or fear of community backlash. The wiki also gives users the opportunity to "test the water" if perhaps they're not quite confident enough to post on CPW or SPW yet; I get the feeling that many new users are intimidated by the communities here (not that there's anything wrong with the communities).
CONS: Some feel that the wiki is unnecessary, not fulfilling any specific niche or purpose, and would only detract traffic from the other three network wikis. The wiki will quickly become a "crap dumping ground" for terrible pastas that aren't accepted anywhere else (not unlikely, though we do have an article rating system in place to help separate the good from the bad). Some might think that adding more wikis to the network waters down its significance and makes it seem less "tightly knit."
I haven't received any definite answer from the network bigwigs, but general consensus has been that this should be put to a vote. So please comment below on whether or not you feel that FPW should be added as a CPW Network member (functionally meaning, it would get a link in the hub on the main page, and hopefully more traffic from here). Also, if a crat feels this is important enough to highlight, it would probably make the vote much more involved.
