      Is that really supernatural, though?

Some might believe it. I'm only being half-facetious though, I do think the concept of evil exists independantly of whatever awful things humans do, maybe as an entity or perhaps a natural phenomenon we don't understand yet.

So do you believe in the devil?

Yeah, I think so, or at least something analogous to it/they.

Interesting.  What drives your interest in darker subjects, then?  I assume you have this interest or you wouldn't be here.

I am greatly enjoying this conversation, by the way.  :-)

    • Thanks.

I think to have things be enjoyable in life, you need to have darker, more painful strokes juxtaposed next to the good things. Horror just kind of goes hand in hand with almost anything I can think of. For me personally, its especially fun because people don't really expect a cartoonist like myself to also draw morbid, dark things.

How about you, do you have any beliefs that keep you awake at night?

The things that keep me awake at night tend to be anxieties about the future.

I think I like dark things because I like seeing what people hide.  It makes everyone seem more human and more relatable.

    • Not really sure if I believe in them or not, but wendigo/skinwalker stories have always interested me, at least the ones that don't sound blatantly made-up.

What's the most convincing skinwalker story you've heard?

    • I can't really decide on one in particular, but if you're interested, go research some of the spooky shit that has happened/is still happening at Skinwalker Ranch (so named because of how many alleged skinwalker sightings there have been there).

You could also try browsing the /x/ board on 4chan. There's a lot of personal stories on there from people who have claimed to have had interactions with weird cryptic-like beings. Though like I said, they vary in terms of believability.
