  • I typed out a long post, it disappeared, so now I will try again!

Hello, I am a new-ish narrated, AsTheRavenDreams (www.youtube.com/c/astheravendreams). I narrate all kinds of everything on my channel.

I was going through this site and, since it's on Fandom, had an honest question about the licensing structure. Being on fandom, the site is bound to the CC-BY-SA req listed on the licensing page ( https://www.fandom.com/licensing )

Except where otherwise permitted, the text on Fandom communities (known as “wikis”) is licensed under the Creative Commons Attribution-Share Alike License 3.0 (Unported) (CC-BY-SA).

Based on that, are all stories posted to this page bound to the CC-BY-SA licensing structure, and can be used so longa s proper attributions is given? I personally have no issues asking permission, I do so frequently, but I was genuinely curious as I haven't seen any indication of different licensing.

Thank you for yout time, and I hope to narrate some stories from here int he near future!

    --Raven.

    • Hi AsTheRaveDreams,

Correct, all the stories posted on this site utilize CC-By-SA License. Authors on here are usually more than happy to have a narration of their work, but as you stated, it's courteous to request permission.

I hope you the best for your narration channel!

Thank you! I have no issue with asking permission at all, I was more so leaning on protection against issues. I've had history with having permission rescinded and a threat of lawsuit because I "Took too long to make the video". I wouldn't assume that would happen at all here, but With a creative commons outline in place, I wouldn't have to really worry about that as the expectation of public use is there.
