Stylistic Changes

Thanks. As I understand it, I think the general rule is that, if something's not interfering with clarity or the story's ability to be understood (or otherwise glaringly wrong), it should be left alone.

Held For Review?

Hi you placed my story 'My Cat Keeps Scratching Outside My Door,' for review may I ask why? The page's grammar was good or at least I thought it was. This wiki is very new to me so I didn't know that stories can't have a single spelling mistake or grammatical error. Standalone Categories

Marked for Review (and Delete Now) are actually standalone categories, meaning that you aren't meant to add other categories to stories in either of those categories.

However, you can do this to add categories to the bottom of pages without actually adding them:

The categories won't show up in visual mode, but they will show up like that in source mode.

Re: Discussion Mod

As it's a relatively new position, we haven't outlined any real requirements (or even made an application page). If I had to set a general guideline for qualities we're looking for, it would be: be active/have a presence on the Discussions Board, be able to list/show familiarity with the guidelines, have examples where you helped out on the board (either by reporting (through the reporting feature or messaging) ToU violations, harassment, plagiarism of art, other rule infractions) to showcase that you're able to identify these issues and bring it to attention when it's needed.

I would also spend some time showcasing these traits before making an application as you have a four month hiatus in your history (having left in December and popping back in at the start of April) and we just promoted Red to the position that me, Cleric, and Hopeless are also currently moderating so there's not a pressing need to rush with an application. We're looking for people who will be able to moderate the Discussions board properly, are familiar with reporting and rule breaks, and are active and present on it. Hope that answers your question. It's typically to evaluate tone (unfortunately some advice was presented in a manner that was belittling and did more harm than good), how useful the advice is for users on the site, etc. Have a good one.
