A Look Back: Goosebumps Horrorland

Flashback to 2008. I’m in fourth grade. The teacher gives all of us the monthly Book Orders (remember those?), and being the avid young reader I was, I carefully investigate each offer, as my parents always allowed me one book per order. As I scanned those flimsy yet colourful pages, my eye was caught by one cover in particular – Goosebumps Horrorland #1: Revenge of the Living Dummy.

For the next few years, that franchise made up a good amount of my childhood, and really set up my love for scary stories, regardless of just how “scary” Goosebumps books were. So today, I decided to talk about this series that I loved ever so much, because why not? (Also there will be spoilers of course because, let’s face it, the series is over a decade old, an…

ANOTHER BLOG ABOUT WRITING - My Origins

I literally can't think of anything else to write about on this blog. Alright, so the thought came to mind of talking about how long I've been writing, what kind of stuff I wrote about, and... yeah. That's it. Here we go.

So... psshh. I started writing in grade primary. Yeah. After having seen my father reading one of those big 600 novels, I was like "I'm gonna write something like that!" Yeah, I was nowhere close to being ready for that, and the first book was nothing like that. Regardless, it didn't stop me from drawing a little self portrait and bio on the back of the book that probably read something like "(I was SO CLOSE to actually writing my name here) is the writer of this book. He is 6 years old, and his favorite food is popcorn."

I'l…

Caps or Italics? How I Prefer To Use Them

aNGRY POSTING TIME - No, not really. Just a personal, stylistic explanation for how I write once again.

In my last two stories in the Workshop, I've used all caps for certain portions of the stories. Now while I do understand and recognize the mass amount of caps abuse in bad CPs, I still prefer to use them. And rather than explain myself in a blog length comment on my reasoning every time someone mentions it, I decided to just do a blog post that I can link to instead. Passive aggression, amirite?

Nah, but first, still a thanks to those who make the comments. This also just gives me a reason to get on my soapbox and spout nonsense for a few minutes for once.

So, how do I treat all caps and italics? For me, it comes down to the connection bet…

My writing style (why am I doing this? Idk)

First off, I was stupid and didn't notice that the date appears below a blog post's title. Probably related to why I do bad on exams.

So, for some reason I wanted to explain my writing process? I think it was so I wouldn't be repeating myself in the Workshop for the rest of life with the same points. Now this isn't to say "i don't think your criticisms are invalid" or anything childish like that. What I hope to achieve is showing you how my stories come around and how I make them. This is probably just a "how to write anything" tutorial, but, eh. My blog, my rules (within the site's approval).

1) An idea: Well no shit. I spend a lot of time thinking about really out there stuff, and every once in a while something comes up that I see working…

06/22/2018 - A real life creepypasta

Today I'm going to share a really fucked up moment from my childhood. In advance, yes this did happen, and no, I remember what happened and the feeling during it too vividly to be a dream. Warning: I'm well aware this is the Creepypasta wiki, but if you're a little weak to gore, you may want to skip this story.

So when I was a kid, my mom took me to my town's park for swimming lessons in the summer. Now it was a little outdoor place, and I always remembered the dingy-ass bathrooms/change rooms there. I've included a 1:1 perfect and in no way flawed diagram of the change room to help you visualize what's going on.

So as you can see, the door into the change room starts at the bottom. The entire floor of this room is cement by the way, and was…
