Hello, Creepypasta Wiki community, and welcome back to Shocktober. With these closing days before Halloween, there was one last major film we couldn't leave behind. One of the more important films on this list (of already very important films), we will be taking a look at Poltergeist. The remake never happened. We're ignoring it.

Following the five members of the Freeling family as they move into a new house in California, they eventually discover that the house was built on a Native American burial ground. When the spirits attempt to get the family out of the house, they eventually target the youngest member of the family, a little girl by the name of Carol, in their journey to attempt to fully pass over. This eventually results in a pair …

Hello, Creepypasta Wiki community, and welcome back to Shocktober. A late entry, for a dark story. As we are traveling through influential and great films, we needed to speak about the movie that changed how people thought of horror, and how people reacted to shock.

Released in 1973, The Exorcist was a breathe of fresh, darker air into an already defined genre. Dubbed the scariest film of all time, the title of "scariest film ever" still stands today.

The plot is about Lankester Merrin, a Catholic priest, as he finds a statue of Pazuzu, a demon he once battled years ago. Pazuzu wants revenge on Lankester, the demon possesses Regan MacNeil, leaving her mother with only one option- contacting Lanester Merrin for an exorcism. The fight between …

Hello, Creepypasta Wiki community, and welcome to Shocktober! I promised influence, and it hardly gets more influential than this movie. We all know the movie, and if you don't, you're going to. No matter what, you can't escape the images this film has placed all over the world, and the replicas it spawned.

Unlike the other installments of Shocktober, this installment will have spoilers, so please be aware of that.

Directed by Alfred Hitchcock (The Birds, Frenzy) on a budget of $806,947, this film is based on a novel by the same name, written by Robert Bloch. Making 50 million dollars in the box office, this movie didn't change the field, it helped create it.

Focusing on Norman Bates, played by the fantastic Anthony Perkins, a man with dissoc…

Hello, Creepypasta Wiki community, and welcome to Shocktober. Keeping the Slasher vibes going, today, we're going back to 1974. One of the most influential films out of the 70's, Texas Chainsaw Massacre left its mark on cinema forever.

Created on a budget of $300,000, this film made $30.8 million, this film set the precedent for successful budget movies. It was met with immediate success, and shocked viewers all across the country.

Directed by Tobe Hooper (Poltergeist, Djinn), this film shows off his masterfull directing, even though he only recorded one movie before this. The cast for the film is primarily people he knew, or Texans, but the cast does a great job. The emotion and panic of this film, matched with the suspense and action, make…

Hello, Creepypasta Wiki community, and welcome to Shocktober. I know what you're thinking. "Why a sequel? Won't we need to know the plot of the original Sleepaway Camp?" My only response is to say the sequel is much better than the original in my eyes. Whilst the original is ok, the sequel is a film I genuinely enjoyed.

In the 80s, Slasher films were a dime a dozen. Under every table was a new film, with a new plot. Most films tried to distance themselves from the stereotypes, but got caught in them instead. Sleepaway Camp 2, thankfully, is not one of those cases.

Released in 1988, this film had a plot to continue, with no mysterious way to do so. So, a choice was made. A good choice.

The plot of Sleepaway Camp 2 focuses on "Angela", the kille…
