I cannot believe how much Wikidrama there has been lately.
Personally, I liked this Wiki better for the way it was when I first joined it, with the authors just writing stories, getting some feedback and constructive criticism, and the forums and blogs (and discussions, though that wasn't around when I joined) being fun places to talk about random Creepypasta subjects.
May we please go back to that? I'm getting sick of all of the anger and hatred that has been making this community far more toxic than it ever was before, and it's been having a negative effect on me, as I'm far less motivated to make edits to this community and help out than I was just one month ago.
Cleric recently permabanned NedWolfkin, apparently because Ned was causing a bunch of the recent drama, leading to Cleric banning him in the hopes that it would get rid of some of the toxicity. Cornconic also recently got a 3-hour-long ban for harassment towards a user who had simply been sharing some of their drawings and ideas, and not doing any actual harm to any of the users.
I just want the insanity to stop.
Empy recently announced new plans to help fix the Wiki up a bit, and I sincerely hope that it will help get the Wiki back to being story-based, and not about arguing with authors over the quality of their stuff.
Cleric has already warned the LOLpasta community that they're headed down the same path that lead to the death of the Trollpasta Wiki, which was the poor enforcement of the admins concerning users who were breaking rules and being plain old dickheads. Well, as scared as I am to say it, the Creepypasta Wiki may be headed down a similar road. NedWolfkin had been breaking rules for years before the admins finally decided that enough was enough.
And lately, there have been quite a few users who've done nothing but wrong. Though the admins have done a much better job taking care of these users, I think they're far more common nowadays because they see opportunity. They know that Creepypasta is not as large a community as it used to be, and under the fallacy that it, and even horror in general, are dying genres with barely anyone still going for them, they vandalize.
Frankly, I think lack of interest may be what's causing the situation. People just aren't quite as into Creepypasta anymore, so they start drama out of sheer boredom and lack of interest in the genre.
These are the users that need to be banned.
They've been going around, starting arguments and wrongfully marking things for deletion, just so they feel more interested. And they're the ones making this Wiki as toxic as it is. Now, I'm not an admin (at least not yet), and therefore I can't make administrative decisions. However, I know that the rules aren't being enforced like they should, and so users like Ned run rampant, causing destruction, anger, and hatred wherever they go.
They need to be stopped!
I'm damn tired of people acting like bullies, being immature, and being spiteful. Just. Freaking. STOP. I come to this Wiki to escape bullying, not embrace it. Just please stop with all of this pointless hatred and meanness. It's unwanted, unneeded, and makes this Wiki a living Hell for users like me.
Can we please, please go back to the old Wiki?
The one that didn't hate everything on Earth and cause spite wherever it went?
