Story deletion

Your story has been deleted because it doesn't meet the wiki's quality standards. If you feel that it did meet the standards, please state your case on Deletion Appeal. Make sure you follow the instructions to the letter there, or your appeal will be automatically denied.

DO NOT ATTEMPT TO REUPLOAD YOUR PASTA. If you upload it again, you'll receive a 1-day ban from editing, as per the rules.

Read the Deletion FAQ and our Style Guide for Writing for details on the 'what' and 'why' of the deletions we make.

Read this guide and these blog posts for further details on how you can improve your story/stories to make them meet our quality standards.

For additional help, submit your story to the Writer's Workshop for feedback.

There were widespread capitalization (failure to properly capitalize sentences and randomly mis-capitalizing words), punctuation (punctuation missing from sentences), spacing (failure to properly space after punctuation), awkward wording, run-on sentences, and plot issues which resulted in your story failing to meet our quality standards. The issues I mentioned above are present here as well. EmpyrealInvective (talk) 11:50, February 4, 2020 (UTC)

NOTICE

You seem to have published an article that was either a massive wall of text without any sort of paragraphs, an article that was riddled with grammatical and/or spelling errors and clichés, or both!

You're in luck, though. This page exists to help you with your quest to not further anger the Ghost of the English Language, a being that was tragically killed by years of abuse.

This new rule aims to raise the average quality of our pastas. The community has spoken, and they are largely unwilling to either read or edit large amounts of non-proofread text.

This in mind, you must either fix the errors in your page(s) or they will be deleted. This is your first and only warning. Further pages you upload which clearly have never been proofread or spellchecked will be instantly deleted and you will be banned from editing for a number of days that will double for each offending page.

To spellcheck a page, try going to SpellCheck.net or by using a word editor with a built-in spellcheck feature, such as Microsoft Word or WordPerfect.

You must verify that you have properly used spelling, grammar, punctuation, spacing, and capitalization.

Re: Advice

Hey there. As the story will possibly be deleted, I will repost what I said in a comment I left here. The story is better than fortnite.exe, but it still needs massive improvement. While there is a plot to this (to a degree), it is still rather short and uneventful/non-impactful. And there are far too many grammatical errors for it to meet quality standards. Both of these stories felt very rushed. A good story takes time, so just be patient, plan out your idea as fully as you can, and then begin writing.

I'd suggest running your story through a grammar checker before posting; Grammarly works, and Google Docs will give you some basic grammar corrections. Both of these are free. And lastly, posting in the writer's workshop BEFORE posting to the site itself can get you a lot of feedback. I hope this helps. RedNovaTyrant (talk) 04:28, February 5, 2020 (UTC)
