New Categories

Please do not create categories. If you make a mistake in typing a category, click the pencil icon to edit or the garbage can icon to delete. There's no need to publish an edit with a non-existent category. See the Genre Listing page for rules about what categories can and cannot be added to pages together or by non-admin, and also for further descriptions of all our existing categories. If you are confused as to how categories on Wikia are supposed to work, please see the help page on categories. The first offense for this is a warning, but the second offense will result in a 1 (one) day block per the category rules.

If you feel your new category should be added to this list, leave a message on ClericofMadness's talk page stating your proposed category and reasons for its inclusion. It must, though, be applicable to at LEAST 10 (ten) existing pages to be considered.

No problem. It's always best to ask if you have questions about the site if you're unsure. Have a good one. EmpyrealInvective (talk) 18:54, 29 September 2021 (UTC)

Regarding 'Auspicious' and 'Rapacious' - Information on categories

I saw that recently, you added your username as a category on the mentioned articles, before it was corrected to the 'by-user' template. While Empy provided you with most of the information you need to know regarding categories, I'd like to point out an extra couple of things.

The first is that it is generally required for all story articles to have categories, so while it was right for the ones you created to be removed, the article should still have at least one from this page. Normally, I would just read the stories and add the relevant categories myself, but since both of them are quite long, I was wondering if you, the author, could do it instead.

The second is that should you eventually write and upload ten original works to the site, then you would be eligible to receive your own author category, where all of your works would be listed. You can find the current list of author categories here.

Hope this was informative.

Re: Writer's Workshop Post

I've removed your writer's workshop post as per your request. Please feel free to let me know if there's anything else I can do to help. Have a good one! EmpyrealInvective (talk) 13:45, 6 October 2021 (UTC)

Contest

May I inquire as to the state of your contest entry? The deadline is the day after tomorrow, so I was wondering if you were leaving it until the last day or so (which there's nothing wrong with, of course). No sweat if you haven't managed to finish anything, but I would like to know ASAP.

Re: A Children's Book

Thanks for catching that. I am using an iPad for site monitoring/maintenance and didn't see the coding typo. Have a good one. EmpyrealInvective (talk) 14:19, 4 November 2021 (UTC)

Re: Author Category

I created the page. Now all that's left is for you to add a little blurb about yourself there. I'd also suggest looking over my edits as I noticed a number of mechanical errors involving dialogue (not punctuating dialogue properly), grammar (it's=it is, its=possession), and mis-capitalization of dialogue tags. I fixed what I noticed at a glance, but I'm certain I over-looked a few. EmpyrealInvective (talk) 19:01, 22 November 2021 (UTC)
