Re: Review Message

Thank you for your message, as I'm very glad to see that people enjoy my reviews. I plan to get a lot more reviews out soon, especially if I am to keep up with doing all the "PotM" nominations. In short, thank you. AGrimAuxiliatrix1 (talk) 20:50, May 7, 2015 (UTC)

PotM Nomination

Simply wanted to thank you for nominating A Perfect Memory for PotM. I'm very honored to even have one of my pastas nominated along with all those other stories. The only source of confusion is if I should skip it when I continue reviewing all the PotM nominations.

Thanks again. AGrimAuxiliatrix1 (talk) 17:20, May 9, 2015 (UTC)

Re: PotM Nomination

Yeah, I kind of knew I wouldn't review it, but I figured I would probably make a passing remark or something in one of the other reviews.

I do think Autopilot should win, but I'm still glad my pasta was nominated. AGrimAuxiliatrix1 (talk) 17:55, May 9, 2015 (UTC)

RE: Recommend Creepypastas

Well, obviously I would recommend all the stuff on my user page. A couple more good places to find stories are Category:Suggested Reading and Category:Spotlighted Pastas, as well as Category:PotM, although generally the stuff there is of a lower quality, since PotM is more of a popularity contest than anything else. If there's a specific genre you want to read, I find Special:RandomInCategory to be an extremely useful tool - just type in a category from the genre listing and you'll be taken to a random page from that category.

I can't really go into specifics right now, as it's getting pretty late where I am, sorry.

Re: Thanks

Thanks for the compliment. I recently took The Quarantine to Kindle to try and self-publish, but as that was one of my weaker stories, it was turned down. I am in the process of adding onto A Good Ending and I may try to publish that next, but as it stands, I'm working on some other stories and will try to have something new this month. I'd stick with first person if I were you, because that's what you felt, what your mind immediately went to. How do you feel about switching to the train conductor right after the man gets hit? You could show the train conductor's view in first person right from when he notices your main character and until he hits him.

Sure thing, glad to help: Doom Vroom (talk) 22:26, May 13, 2015 (UTC)

Figured It Out

What you want to do is, go back to the nominations page, click "Edit", then replace [[User:Tin77|Tin77]] with four tildes. Leaving out the "nowiki" function. Just four of these: ~.

I believe I can fix it for you.

You need to use source mode. Go to Special:Preferences#mw-prefsection-editing and change "preferred editor" to source mode. Then try again. « UnderScorre » 22:13, May 13, 2015 (UTC)
No problem, glad to be of assistance. Additionally, when using talk pages, it's useful for you to create a new header when you talk about a new subject - you do so by wrapping a title for your message in two equals signs, and putting it before your message (view the source of this section to see what I mean). « UnderScorre » 22:27, May 13, 2015 (UTC)

RE: Autopilot

We actually moved it to Category:Suggested Reading due to its high quality, meaning it was no longer eligible for PotM. Additionally, we had too many pastas nominated this month, and needed to shorten the list somewhat, so moving the story to somewhere which would guarantee it has been recognized for its quality (as opposed to popularity, which is effectively PotM) made sense.

Re: Contest

I'm afraid that you are disqualified. Maybe you honestly didn't know that someone else made that story because you seemed pretty honest in your reply. But rules are rules. Sorry man.

Re: Re: Re: Contest

I'm afraid not. The rules are only one entry per person. But there will be plenty more contests which will come up later by other people. Also, I'm planning on hosting another conteset once school lets out. If you want, I can message you when I do get it up.

Thank you

I really appreciate the kind words and support. Please reach out if there is anything I can assist you with.

Hello! I'm fairly new to this site and was wondering if you could give me any tips? If it's okay.Scooter Dracon (talk) 20:33, June 10, 2015 (UTC)

I noticed you were happy that my story The Long List won PoTM

Me, too!  Thanks so much for your support.  I just wanted to let you know that another of my stories has been nominated.  Nightingale It is a period piece that takes place in a 1910 whorehouse.  I put a lot of research and love into it.  If you get a chance give it a read.  Thanks again, check you later, HumboldtLycanthrope (talk) 02:15, June 12, 2015 (UTC)

More than happy to

I'll be more than happy to check out your story in the workshop. I'll look at it tonight or tomorrow and have some feedback for you.

Banningk1979 (talk) 01:15, June 27, 2015 (UTC)

I believe it should now be fixed.

PotM Nominations

Just to be clear, stories that are in the historical archive are still eligible to be nominated. Popular pages from that category may be removed from the nomination page, but that is at an administrator's discretion. A lot of pages in the historical archive are just classics, and some of them are still not noticed enough to be barred from receiving PotM or being nominated.

Not a big deal.

Marked for Review

Please do not remove the marked for review category from stories, even if no reason was left. It's up to an admin to decide if a story should be taken out of Marked for Review or not.

« UnderScorre » 20:55, July 10, 2015 (UTC)

There's no need to apologise, I can tell you weren't behaving maliciously, and were just attempting to ensure it wasn't unfairly M4R'd. As long as you understand not to remove the category, don't worry about it :) « UnderScorre » 07:10, July 11, 2015 (UTC)

PotM Nominations

Thanks for nominating my story Black Hole Sun, it means a lot. Unfortunately I already have another story nominated, Ad Nauseam, Ad Mortem, Ad Infinitum, and don't want to flood the polls with two of my stories. I've removed your nomination to keep things fair. I hope you understand. EmpyrealInvective (talk) 20:42, July 13, 2015 (UTC)

It isn't a rule, it's more of a personal thing. There are a lot of great stories on this wiki and to have multiple stories of mine nominated seems like an unfair advantage and limits exposure for other authors. Oddly enough, this is the second time I've had to do something like this, I guess I'm doing something right with my stories. Have a good one. EmpyrealInvective (talk) 20:47, July 13, 2015 (UTC)

Thank you!

Did you enjoy my story? Also, thank you for editing it. I greatly appreciate it, since i'm new to the site, and have hopes for many stories i wish to right. Some are based off of mythology, others are based off of personal experience. Rustedontheinside (talk) 23:24, July 26, 2015 (UTC)

Strange and mysterious websites

Some time ago you had that blog asking for the weirdest Internet website ( Well yesterday I found this countdown video of strange and mysterious websites [1]. If someone creates strange sites as a challenging puzzle or as an art project, then I respect that. However, at least one site on the list made me think, “Okay, this was made by a nutjob with too much time on his hands.” (His hands? Her hands? I dunno) I don’t plan to visit any of these, but I thought of you because of the blog and thought you might be interested. Raidra (talk) 00:15, August 8, 2016 (UTC)
